Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Senior Assistant Registrar for Catalog and Curriculum, the Catalog and Curriculum Analyst is the subject matter expert for day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include analyzing, building, updating, and maintaining catalog and curriculum management systems, providing data analysis and maintenance services for the Office of the University Registrar and campus stakeholders.

This role also involves analyzing, designing, and documenting catalog and curriculum processes and procedures to support office needs and stakeholder experience, and informing stakeholders about operational aspects of catalog and curriculum management to support policies and practices.

Performs data analysis and assists with design of complex data models based upon business or research requirements. Identifies and resolves required information flows and content issues and transforms requirements into data designs and models.

May perform analyses, development and evaluation on large databases and large complex consultation. Provides data analysis expertise to one or more project or support teams. Develops data standards, policies and procedures. Often works with vendor delivered solutions. May plan, organize and manage projects and associated schedules and budgets. May supervise other IT staff and manage projects.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Reviews CIM proposals in curriculum manager for accuracy and makes updates as needed to align degree audit and catalog requirements.
  • Bridges approved course proposals into student information system and troubleshoots data syncing errors.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of plans of study including degree requirements for undergraduate and professional programs. Analyzes and interprets plan of study information provided by colleges/schools.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for stakeholders when problems and/or questions arise related to day-to-day work and objectives. Serves as primary point of contact for staff when problem solving issues in CAT and CIM.
  • Provide training on Catalog and Curriculum features and functions. Create and maintain documentation materials.
  • Works closely with office leadership and campus community to ensure compliance with university regulations and policies in the University Catalog.
  • Design complex data models using various systems and IT tools.
  • Responsible for developing the structure and methods for accessing data to ensure consistency in data delivery and reporting.
  • Clean and manipulate raw data using various software programs.
  • Compare models using various methods, metrics, analysis and reporting frameworks.
  • Responsible for data integrity and monthly data reports, metrics, and analysis
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelors of Science, and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience working with Banner, and/or Courseleaf preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle numerous projects and data systems simultaneously, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate orally and in writing with a diverse group of University faculty and staff are required.
  • Candidate should excel working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to be flexible and work under pressure, and ability to work extended hours during peak periods.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office required.
  • The candidate will be experienced working in a fast-paced environment, will be comfortable working in workflow software, and enjoys solving complex problems and working with others to deliver the highest quality service in support of the University's academic mission.
