Responsibilities arrow_right
- Familiarization with the basics of sealing technology and dynamic sealing elements based on thermoplastics
- Familiarization with suitable open source FEM structural mechanics software (e.g. CodeAster, CalculiX)
- Development of software for automated design optimization (Python)
- Selection of a design & experimental comparison
- Optional: Transfer to an ML surrogate model
- Documentation and interpretation of test results
Qualifications arrow_right
- You are studying physics, mechanical engineering or a related field
- Basics in the areas of FEM, structural mechanics and software development
- Analytical way of thinking and working
- Motivation and fun when familiarizing yourself with new topics
- Teamwork and regular coordination with stakeholders
- Previous knowledge of relevant open source tools is a plus (e.g. Python, CodeAster, CalculiX, Linux)
- You have very good spoken and written knowledge of German and/or English
