In your new role you will:
- Responsible for installation, configuration and operation of the complex Linux/Unix infrastructure within our global data centers (Redhat, Centos, Ubuntu, Solaris, HP UX).
- Responsible for the installation, configuration and operation of the high-availability solutions used within our global data centers (HP Serviceguard, Oracle Cluster).
- Handle the creation and, design of reliable IT infrastructures according to given SLA specifications.
- Participate in the automation and continuous optimization of all technical processes (Shell, Python, Ansible, Puppet, Foreman, GIT, Bitbucket).
- Responsible for the availability and performance monitoring including creation and customization of dashboards and alerts (Kibana, Zabbix).
- Handle error analysis and problem-solving as part of 2nd and 3rd-level support in cooperation with our internal customers.
- Support for IT security to implement the hardening/protection of the server systems and the services running on them.
- Close cooperation with colleagues from other areas of the international infrastructure team to optimize the landscape.
- Accountable for Technology consulting for our internal customers, as well as the creation of concepts and their implementation.
- Be an independent takeover of (partial) projects from the design phase through development to productive use.
- Responsible for the creation of technical documentation, education, and training material (Confluence).
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Physics / Mathematics would also be feasible with a computing background.
- Relevant experience working in managing Enterprise IT Infrastructure such as Linux Servers.
- Soft skills: Teamwork, Presentation/Communication skills, Independent, structured, methodical way of working
- Experience in Project Management is an added advantage.
- Experienced with the following tools: Ansible, Rundeck, Foreman, Puppet, Linux, HP UX, Solaris, and Service Guard.
- Good command of English (Speak, Read, Write).
- Willingness to be on call outside of normal working hours
- Fresh graduates with passion and a strong affinity for DevOps and center infrastructure support will be considered.
Note: 1-year renewable contract under 3rd party payroll partner and entitled to benefits according to the partner company.
