Your Role
Our company is seeking a highly motivated and skilled material scientist to join our team in the development of a prototype for an intraocular lens (IOL) implant. In this position, you will work together with our team of engineers, optical designers, and chemists to develop a novel lens implant that will improve the quality of life of people suffering from cataracts. The possibility to produce a Master’s Thesis is given during the 6 Month period of the offered position. Responsibilities
Research on materials and methods suitable for manufacturing of IOL implants
Designing and optimizing individual parts for a modular IOL system
Developing of methods and manufacturing of an IOL prototype
Perform testing and analysis on prepared IOL prototypes
Your Profile
B.Sc. in Material Science, Engineering, Polymer chemistry or similar
Experimental experience in analytics, preferably optical measurements
Experience in designing biomaterial parts and related processing
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
