In our office in Seimsfoss we are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our team. The office contains of 50+ talented and experienced colleges that are ready to welcome another team member onboard. In this international environment you will be an important key to further develop our success in life saving boats.
We are searching for self-driven and motivated mechanical engineer who is also a team player. As a mechanical engineer, you will have responsibility for design of metal structures, components, assemblies, outfitting of boats. You will also work with technical documentation according to technical department procedures, customer requirements and international standards. You will work closely with other members of the Engineering Team, both in Seimsfoss but also other Marine locations around the world. In this job you will be involved and work together with the team in different phases of a project.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mechanical design of metal structures, assemblies, components and prepare technical documentation according to technical department procedures, customer requirements, international standards
- Checking and preparing mechanical drawings, documentation according to technical department procedures
- Prepare / support project department during preparing technical documentation related to mechanical structures, assemblies and components
- Technical clarifications with suppliers, producers of mechanical components, metal structure during purchasing process
- Cooperate with colleagues from other disciplines on technical department during design of complete product
- Technical support of metal production and service engineers during their service assignment or commissioning
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- MSc or BSc degree in mechanical engineering or close related disciplines
- Minimum 1 - 5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering, but newly graduates are encouraged to apply
- Good knowledge of the CAD and ERP system
- As English is our working language, you must be fluent in both spoken and written
- Structured, creative and solution oriented, we have an open door policy and like discussions to find the best solution
